Serious question for everyone out there who plays RPGs (if you're merely a fan of streams like Critical Role without actually roleplaying yourself, there's the door)...

Should we rebrand the OSR into Let's Go Brandon?

I don't think so. But I'm all for some OSR product in the same fashion. "Let's go 'Kainen!" subbing for "Fuck u Hasbro".

OTOH, a product detailing an adventure across the woken wastelands to find a sacred sword, of colors Carmine, Ultramarine and Ivory known as "The FireBrandon" to strike down the Lich known as the "Ill Zephb'Than, The Usurper" seems nice and very gonzo.

No. I dislike the wokeness of the current owners and 5e community in general, but it's pathetic to assume that everyone who also dislikes it is an American conservative. That phrase is meaningless in most parts of the world, and gaming is a worldwide hobby.

Don't know about other european countries but you won't find a bad word about Biden in german state television or major print products. 4 years of Trump bashing with every tweet, every stammering in an interview, every lapsus linguae presented in video. And now? Nothing. Just that Biden goes vac - great Biden. Best Biden. Biden 4ever. Less coverage on the Afghanistan debacle than the vacine aprovement for kids the age of 5 and up. Hail Biden.

Damn, Cyric. Has Germany gone woke? I didn't realize the German media hated Trump as much as ours did. They'll get a rude awakening soon. The pendulum will swing back for Germany, as well!

I would say our media hated him even more. You got Fox and some conservative radio stations and internet portals, at least. Germany has nothing like this. All tv stations and all major print products are like one big CNN (with dozens of different logos). It's like it must have been in the GDR, just not as obvious.

2/3 of the germans are (if you believe in the results of opinion polls) against all this woke bullshit. But tv, radio, print, all major companies - everything goes woke. Everything.

I hope the pendulum swings soon.

If You Don't Play D&D 5e, The World Dies

  The end is nigh! It's hard to know what to think these days.  That's why we should all be grateful when our thinking is done for us. I, like many others, were under the impression that gaming was a leisure activity, a hobby, perhaps even something akin to a religious experience.  Little did I know that roleplaying was literally a life or death decision. According to  some guy on YouTube, if you insist on wasting your time with non-D&D 5th edition games, the world will end and human beings will die horribly in unquenchable fire. Logically, this makes perfect sense... if you think about it.
